Helping Individuals and Corporations Thrive in Times of Change
OUR STRESS FILLED WORLD

In 1904…

Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.
A three-minute call from Denver to New York City cost eleven dollars.
There were only 8,000 cars and 144 miles of paved roads in the U.S.
The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.

How does that compare to today?!

The times we live in change faster than any time in recorded history.

We are informed of these changes by an information system
that is relentlessly coming at us 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

All this change, all this information, all these choices.
It can feel overwhelming, and feeling overwhelmed
can lead us to make the WRONG CHOICES.
Over eating, smoking, and losing our temper more.

It is also widely accepted that unchecked, stress can  lead to illness.

Research has demonstrated the positive effects of “letting go”
and relaxation, but many of us never take the opportunity to relax.
Still others can’t imagine what “letting go” would even feel like.

It starts with learning to relax the body
and then we can begin to manage our thoughts.
With specific suggestions, we can actually change
the programs that run our lives.

Barbara has presented Stress Management sessions to State Agencies,
financial institutions, and educational facilities throughout New York State.

She works with groups and individuals teaching techniques
that help manage the negative effects of stress.
